Engagement can override our brains sometimes with the want for constant interaction with the online world and when we have a quiet day, we wonder what’s going on.
I wanted to upload this specific post today, as Saturdays tend to be a quiet day. There’s no chats I get involved in and there’s no hashtags taking place every week that catches my eye.
This isn’t a post for the blogging community, it’s a post for everyone.
You could be a charity trying to raise funds and amplify your story through social media, you could be a blogger wanting your posts engagement to increase or you might be a volunteer wanting to learn something new…every day engagement is not a must!
I use Tweetdeck quite a bit to help me out at times, as who can be online all day every day? The scheduling platform allows me to identify key times for posting, reminds me what hashtags are on and when there’s a gap in my posting.
Let me change that…Tweetdeck helps, but I know all of the above. When it comes to engaging others in your content, you have to believe in what you’re sharing.
OK, not everything is going to get 82 likes and 58 shares (random numbers I know), but we shouldn’t let this question our ways.
Not everyone will be on every day or at the time you post, and it doesn’t matter how much analysis you do understanding time, engagement and content, there’s always going to be a quiet day.
Sometimes all we need to do is sit back and carry on, but we let the digital world take over.
Understand that things are not going to change overnight and just because you have 1 quiet day a week, you still have 6 engaging days full of empowering content, telling your community what you’re all about.
Oh and …HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!!
