For the past few months, I’ve been boring you about my BIG 2017 project and it’s finally here! JRTV100 is finally here!
Starting tomorrow, I will be on a journey to help 100 charities, giving much more than just my time as a volunteer.
I haven’t volunteered for the last year to focus on building John’s Road to Volunteering, and I didn’t want to restart my volunteering journey in a simple way.
I want to push my passion for volunteering by going out of my way to not volunteer, but to provide my services.
Services in a way, that each volunteering role taken on will be written up on here and each experience will be sent to local press, education establishments and everywhere else I see fit. This is the year charities are heard!
I want to create a buzz in 2017, 2018 and 2019, as JRTV100 will take 2 – 3 years to complete and as the project grows, so will the numbers of individuals and groups giving their time to the community.
Tomorrow, I return to the birthplace of my volunteering to say thanks to the charity ‘Pavilion on the Park’ for giving me the chance to be me. To be me in a sense, I didn’t know who I was, until now.
I know where my life is going, I know who I am as a person and I know my purpose.
If it wasn’t thanks to volunteering, I wouldn’t be sat here writing John’s Road to Volunteering.
Volunteering hasn’t just impacted my life, it’s influenced it!
Here’s to the next few years working with some amazing charities to help them amplify their voice!
